Parallel Societies

Hi Clint et al,

I was just in a group zoom call with the founders of this organization that are creating parallel communities in most parts of the world right now. Clint I know you not only mentioned about creating one but spoke a bit about this on the last zoom call we were on and I wanted to give you the heads up. So this is a company and at first glance it all seems kinda corporate profit driven and yes to a degree it is but like us all we gotta eat and keep the lights on so to speak so rather than dismiss this out of hand I sat in on this zoom while they made a very polished and professional presentation not unlike their website which is newearthdevelopment.org

After many years they have developed a package for people who are looking to start their own communities or even just a single homestead. They have a one time charge for the package depending on whether you are looking into it for yourself or to invest multiple millions or tens of millions of dollars. They have started and also have communities that are up and running right now, they are I believe situated in Costa Rica?

Admittedly I have not done my due diligence on them since I only heard of them last night but they had an interesting and solid presentation which I think can work for pretty much anyone? Like most people I don't have the money to invest in developing a community or to even purchase one of their starter information packages, however like all of us we have something to offer by way of our experiences that could fit within the parameters or scope of one of these communities? For example in my case I do have a general and in some cases solid knowledge of building, machinery operation, ground works, framing/forming, concrete, welding/fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanics, lumberjacking, wood milling, firewood and a few others in there as well. I was thinking that I could be a bit of a go to guy or add strength to a community or communities that don't have much or any depth in those fields? I don't have the cash, but I do have some useful know how that is just as valuable?

You had mentioned about visiting established communities and learning from them, taking what you liked and didn't like to ultimately create something that you could be happy with and live out your existence? I like that idea very much but also think that there could be something out there already that we could just be a part of without having to make large time or monetary investment into? Failing that, using some of their ideas and applying and creating something to work with your idea of finding existing land from long standing land owners who want the land to be worked and used but either don't have the family that wants to do that or has family that is just wanting to divide the property and sell it off to the highest bidder?

Anyhow, I'm exploring this further because I'm rotting away up here in the frozen north living as a hermit on a piece of dirt out in the country and am ready to revisit being alive and a part of something with men and wombmen who have similar values. Anyone else "out there" who is tired of waiting around for something to happen might want to look into this site or let us know about others that you know about and see where it goes from there?
